Kingsman 3 will conclude the story of Harry Hart and Eggsy, but it is not the Kingsman movie that will hit theaters next year.
The King’s Man is a prequel that goes back to the origins of the secret spy organization, and although it’s the third movie of the Kingsman franchise, it’s not Kingsman 3 because it won’t repeat the characters from the previous movies.
Kingsman 3, which would be called Kingsman: The Blue Blood, will conclude the trilogy, but it won’t be the end of the franchise, as creator Matthew Vaughn has already announced his plans for a Kingsman film universe.
With the postponement of The King’s Man to 2021, news about Kingsman 3 is scarce, but that doesn’t mean we don’t know anything. Here’s everything you need to know about Kingsman 3, which is most definitely not The King’s Man.
Kingsman 3 release date: when will Kingsman 3 hit theaters?
The King’s Man will finally be released (probably) on February 12, 2021 after a series of delays.
Unfortunately, we still don’t have a release date for Kingsman 3 and filming hasn’t started yet, so it’s hard to judge when we’ll see it. In August 2020, Vaughn had talked about wanting to start soon.
“We have to do it because I don’t want to see Colin [Firth] in a room frame or Eggsy in diapers. So we have to stay busy,” he told Empire.
It was originally thought that Vaughn would not direct, but in the same interview he admitted that he “didn’t know what I wanted to do” regarding the new film, so he could still be considered to direct.
Assuming that production on the next film begins in 2021, we can expect to see Eggsy and Harry Hart again in 2022, perhaps in the September release series that worked so well for Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
This is pure speculation for now, until we hear more from Vaughn.
